Apprentice Champion Awards - October 2023

Damar’s apprentice champion award seeks to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts and commitment of our apprentices. Damar coaches can nominate their apprentices and outline why they feel their apprentice should be considered for the award.

We would like to thank everyone who nominated an apprentice. This quarter the winner is…

Bobby Hawthorne at RWK Goodman –  Congratulations!

Bobby (pictured below), is currently doing her Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship at the Bath office of law firm RWK Goodman.

She was nominated by her Damar coach, Jeanie Logan, who has seen how quickly Bobby has adapted to her apprenticeship. Jeanie commented Bobby always takes on all feedback. She has grown in her role and her confidence, professionalism and communication skills have developed to a very high standard.”

Bobby’s manager Emily Curtis, Senior HR Advisor at RWK Goodman said, “Bobby has become a key part of the team and has eased some of the work of the PA to our HR director. She has a keen eye to detail and has taken herself out of her comfort zone quite a few times and has excelled in tasks.”

So how is Bobby finding her apprenticeship so far;

After I left school, I saw the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship at RWK Goodman in the HR Team and was immediately interested. I’m so glad I applied. I am really enjoying the apprenticeship, the mixture of on-the-job training, online learning, and group coaching sessions, plus the support I have received from my Damar coach Jeanie Logan has been brilliant. She is always at the end of the phone for any questions or queries I have.”

Congratulations Bobby!
