Customer services / Key accounts.

How has the apprenticeship impacted on you?

This apprenticeship has had a significant impact on me, due to the confidence and knowledge it has instilled in me, in such a short period of time. These are things I can carry with me throughout my career.

How will the apprenticeship training continue to impact on you in the future?

The knowledge the apprenticeship has provided me is something that will stick with me. All of the skills I have learnt and developed are relevant to every job within the business sector, making them extremely useful for a person passionate for business.

How has the apprenticeship impacted on your organisation? 

The apprenticeship prompted me to start thinking outside the box. Because of this, the idea for the Hayley Rail LinkedIn page was born. This was a huge success, and is still growing to this day. Although posting on the page has not yet started, the foundations are set for a huge amount of fantastic content, demonstrating Hayley’s tremendous wealth of knowledge on the industry, and their amazing people.

How has Damar’s approach to training contributed to the impact of the apprenticeship on you and your organisation?

Damar’s approach was extremely efficient for me. It involved a lot of contact and communication, which was massively beneficial for me. I found each call with my coach productive, helpful and clear.

Why did you decide to do an apprenticeship?

There have been success stories within my family previously with apprenticeships, and this initially prompted me to start looking for one. For a few weeks, I was looking for a company which offers a fantastic progression route for its apprentices, and was also a rapidly expanding company. I found my perfect match with Hayley Rail.

What activities do you do in your day-to-day role?

My day-to-day work consists of talking to our many customers and ensuring they are all happy with our services. I also deal with any customer problems or queries, as Hayley Rail has a huge focus on customer satisfaction, and so dealing with issues quickly and efficiently is a big part of my role.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

There are many factors to my job which I enjoy, whether it be procurement of Hayley’s many special stocked parts, or speaking to our many satisfied customers, or even conversing with people outside the company on LinkedIn. 

What are your future career plans?

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far at Hayley Rail, and I fully intend to stay at the company and take every single chance I get of promotion. I am an optimistic person, and I fully back myself at achieving whatever I want to do within this business. I want to see Hayley Rail continue to grow in order to reach its incredibly large potential, and I personally would like to do whatever I can in this company to help achieve that growth.
