- Nominations close: 12 December 2025
- Shortlist announced: w/c 5 January 2026
- Winners announced: w/c 9 February 2026 (National Apprenticeship Week)
Damar apprentices can nominate their supervisor / line manager for this category.
If there are a number of apprentices wanting to make a nomination for a supervisor, this should be done within one nomination form – but please give all names in the ‘Your name’ field. We only need one email address.
To be eligible for this award, the apprentice supervisor must have supervised / line managed at least one Damar apprentice in 2025.
There is a maximum word count of 200 words per question. Please provide as much detail as possible without going over the word count.
We recommend preparing your answers in Microsoft Word and checking you’re within the word count before copying and pasting into the form. Where longer responses are submitted, judges will only consider the first 200 words for each answer.
Has your supervisor / line manager given you exceptional support? Have they gone above and beyond to empower and inspire you? Tell us how in your nomination.
Tell us about your organisation, apprenticeship and supervisor.
For this answer, tell us a little bit about:
- Your organisation e.g. size, sector and structure
- Your apprenticeship e.g. what programme you are on and when you started
- Your supervisor e.g. what is their role and how does that fit into the organisation, who else do they manage (including other apprentices).
What impact has their supervision and/or line management had on you and your apprenticeship?
For this answer, please tell us about the positive difference that they’ve made to you, your apprenticeship and your development. This could include additional opportunities they’ve given you, how they’ve aligned your work activity with your apprenticeship modules, how they’ve engaged with your coach and in review visits, and how they’ve celebrated your successes or inspired you with their exceptional leadership.
How does your supervisor champion apprenticeships?
For this answer, think about the impact that your supervisor has beyond you – on your team, organisation and community. You could include examples of how your supervisor promotes the benefits of apprenticeships within your organisation, supports other apprentice supervisors or uses networks and partnerships to champion apprentices and apprenticeships.
