Business Administrator
Why did you decide to do an apprenticeship?
I have always wanted to do an apprenticeship as I wanted to learn and earn at the same time. I also didn’t want to be in a college environment as I wanted to be with people who already have experience in the profession.
What sort of activities did you do in your role whilst you were on the apprenticeship?
Taking bookings and payments form customers, organising documents for assessors/trainers for their training courses, invigilating training courses, chasing customers for payments and making sure all customers details are stored confidently on the company’s server.
What have you enjoyed most about your apprenticeship?
Meeting new people and gaining experience from working in this industry.
How was your training with Damar?
My training with Damar has been helpful. They made sure I pushed myself to my limits and to get the best possible grade.
What do you think your biggest achievement has been as a Business Admin Apprentice?
I think that my biggest achievement has been that I started working here knowing nothing and having no experience in this role and industry and now 15 months later I have passed and gained a lot of experience and I am confident in my job role.
What do you think you have contributed to your organisation?
As I am the youngest here at ECTA I think that my knowledge with the newer technology has been really helpful as I am able to help other people in the organisation with problems with their laptops, tablet and phones etc. Also working my way around the Microsoft software has been easy for me as I have only just left school, so if my manager wanted me to complete a task on excel I would know what to use and how to complete the task.
What are your career plans now you’ve finish your apprenticeship?
I don’t really know what I want to do in the future, however I want to stay doing Business or IT, or just something to do with technology.
