An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Executive to join our Business Development team at Damar Training. 

We are an apprenticeship training provider with a clear purpose – to create real, long-term value for individuals and organisations. We have a committed, professional and friendly team who share our objectives and we are proud to work with hundreds of great employers and thousands of apprentices, all of whom share similar goals.

The apprenticeships we deliver are mostly in professional and business services. Our areas include administration, management, law, accountancy, customer service and travel. We work with large public and private sector organisations and we have an apprentice recruitment team to support the search, selections and on-boarding process.

The successful applicant will have a passion for building relationships with people and be comfortable working towards targets.  This will drive you to:

  • Generate new business by expanding our reach to employers, regions and sectors through a consultative sales approach.
  • Find new ways to support our existing clients so they benefit from a more diverse range of apprenticeships.
  • Develop partnerships with existing customers to grow their apprenticeship programmes.

This role is available to home workers so we welcome applications from experienced individuals across England, but someone within commutable distance of Manchester for occasional on-site working would be desirable.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new client relationships and new business
  • Proactively making calls and driving up new business pipelines
  • Generate new business through existing client relationships
  • Working closely with programme managers and training team managers to ensure that our delivery meets business objectives
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge to clients
  • Manage the recruitment of apprentices by your employers
  • Promote the benefits to employers of apprenticeships for existing staff
  • Actively networking and attending client or learner engagement events
  • Achieve and exceed monthly targets set
  • Maintain accurate and up to date client records

Skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both in writing and face to face/by telephone
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • The ability to plan work and to exceed set targets

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Business to business sales experience
  • Track record of achieving results in a target-driven sales environment
  • Strong product knowledge including Apprenticeship Standards and Funding desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
