As we continue to build our team and business, our plans for growth are part of our plan. We’re looking for a coach to join our team either on a full or part time basis.  We’re particularly interested in business admin apprenticeship coaches who have a background in administration but would also welcome applications from candidates with professional services and management experience too.  You’ll be able to work from home, with occasional travel to our new, state of the art office at 111 Piccadilly in Manchester.

Job Description

You are responsible for managing the coaching of a caseload of apprentices, ensuring that they develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to succeed in their roles and complete their apprenticeships as planned.

Key Responsibilities

  • To understand and agree with employers and apprentices each apprentice’s starting point and skills development needs.
  • Using Damar’s standard delivery model, to agree a training plan with each apprentice and employer that meets those needs.
  • To manage the delivery of the training in line with the plan, quality and, in particular:
    • to regularly and thoroughly review progress against all aspects of the plan with the apprentice and their manager.
    • to take prompt action where the apprentice falls behind.
    • to ensure that the apprentice is accessing and benefiting from delivery that you are not personally undertaking (for example, via Damar OpenLearning or expert knowledge tutors).
  • To ensure that the apprentice is healthy, safe and supported at work.
  • To understand the apprentice’s and employer’s ambitions for progression and to work with the Damar account manager to support progression where possible.
  • To work in accordance with Damar’s systems, in particular our enrolment and e-portfolio systems and Damar OpenLearning.
  • To maximise efficiency for the benefit of your apprentices, our partner employers and Damar.
  • To ensure all reporting activity and administration reports are owned, managed and delivered on time.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Access).
  • Ability to engage with a wide cross section of people.
  • Self-motivated and highly organised to manage your own time.

Knowledge and qualifications

  • A teaching qualification is an advantage however full training will be given
  • A good level at GCSE (or higher) in maths and English
  • A strong vocational background in your areas of delivery and a commitment to maintain your vocational competence.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing manager to join our team at Damar.

Job Description

To lead and manage all of Damar’s external and internal marketing and support the achievement of our business-wide objectives. The role includes the creation and implementation of our marketing plan and management of our marketing budget.

Key responsibilities

  • Creating and then delivering the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives.
  • Co-ordinating marketing campaigns with sales
  • Managing the company’s marketing budget.
  • Proactively planning and implementing of promotional campaigns
  • Preparing online and print marketing campaigns
  • Manage and maintain company website and social media platforms
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications
  • Working closely with our external publications and marketing support.
  • Co-ordinate and help maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
  • Measuring the impact of our marketing activity against agreed targets.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge and qualifications

  • Prior experience in a marketing role, preferably in Further Education

We are looking to recruit an experienced Internal Quality Assurer to internally verify our CILEx Professional Skills assignments at Level 3 and Level 6 in Client Care and Legal Research in line with both CILEx and Damar internal quality assurance processes.

We are an apprenticeship training provider with a clear purpose – to create real, long-term value for individuals and organisations. We have a committed, professional and friendly team who share our objectives and we are proud to work with hundreds of great employers and thousands of apprentices, all of whom share similar goals.

This is an interim, self-employed role, to be carried out at two points throughout the year (normally January and May – informed by CILEx submission window).

Salary: Rate per assignment to be agreed.

  • A self-employed, interim opportunity at two points throughout the year (normally January and May) – informed by CILEx submission windows
  • Rate to be agreed
  • Reporting to: Quality Manager

Key responsibilities

  • Generate meaningful feedback on the quality of the assessment and Tutor feedback in relation to level 3 and level 6 Professional Skills assignments (Client Care and Legal Research units)
  • Identify strengths and areas for development trends and feedback to Quality Manager
  • Provide suggestions for future CPD opportunities based on findings

Skills

  • ICT literate with good Excel and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to challenge and provide constructive feedback
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills

Knowledge and qualifications

  • Qualified in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices
