Business Development Executive role overview

Full-time, Hybrid (offices are in central Manchester)

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000

Damar Training is seeking a proactive and detail-orientated Business Development Executive to join our Business Development team.  As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a variety of critical tasks across stakeholder management, apprenticeship support, account management, and data management.  Your role will involve close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the smooth processing of new apprenticeship applications, the onboarding of new employers, and maintaining up-to-date records. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Stakeholder Management: Support the Business Development team by managing key stakeholder relationships for nominated accounts, ensuring excellent service and clear communication. 
  • Apprenticeship Support: Assist in the timely processing of new apprenticeship applications, ensuring all compliance documentation is properly stored. 
  • Account Management: Manage the administration and onboarding of new employers generated through tenders and existing house accounts. 
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the CRM system, ensuring compliance with Damar’s Data Management Strategy. 
  • Business Growth: Qualify and manage new business inquiries, allocating opportunities to the Business Development team in collaboration with the Marketing Manager. 
  • Campaign Support: Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to support marketing campaigns aimed at increasing sales impact and reaching broader audiences. 
  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Damar’s products and services when engaging with clients. 

Skills, Knowledge, and Personal Attributes 

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the confidence to engage with clients in person, over the phone, and by email. 
  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to nurture and develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), with experience using CRM systems. 
  • Attention to Detail: High level of organisational skills with a strong focus on accuracy and planning. 
  • Knowledge of Apprenticeships: Familiarity with apprenticeship standards and funding is ideal, but full training will be provided.

  • A focus on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students. 
  • An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required for this role. 
  • Completion of all compulsory business-wide or team-specific training.
