Sutherland & Co Law are solicitors in Doncaster specialising in conveyancing, wills, trusts, probate, lasting powers of attorney and landlord and tenant. The firm was established in 2016 by lawyers, Caroline Sutherland and Mark Appleyard.
Sutherland & Co Law has been steadfast through the pandemic. It has supported remote working, phased return to work plans were implemented, and safe premises were introduced. They have forged ahead with their apprenticeship recruitment, with two new apprentices starting last week.
They are a business that provides a robust career development plan for new employees and apprentices, from Business Administrator Apprentices to Paralegals and Solicitors. Damar Training provide step-by-step guidance, from recruitment to enrolment and allocate each apprentice candidate with a coach to guide them through their learner journey.
Caroline Sutherland (pictured above) has transformed her workplace by investing her time in building and nurturing connections with her team, with a positive approach to trust and active engagement, energising people so they feel competent, open, honest and motivated.
Caroline believes that by supporting and investing her time in new apprentices, her reward is watching them thrive, grow into a career of their own choice and add value to the business. Apprentices bring a fresh perspective and a new skill set. By unlocking their potential, she has developed a critical talent pool and set the foundations for growth. Half of her employees started as Business Admin Apprentices, who have gone on to complete Paralegal Apprenticeships and are now certified professional with solid credentials, and an integral part of the Sutherland & Co Law brand.
By investing in her team, she has a workforce that deliver consistent quality and compliance to clients, and has harnessed the future generation of law practitioners for her business.
