Overview of the operations manager apprenticeship
This apprenticeship is aimed at departmental and operations managers who are new to their role or looking to develop their skills.

It is suited for individuals who want to develop key leadership and management skills, knowledge and behaviours including:
- Leadership and people management
- IT and digital interventions such as AI
- Managing and influencing activities and projects within budget and resources
- Communicating complex information
- Developing and implementing operational plans aligned to strategic objectives.

How the apprenticeship works
Planning
The apprentice will undertake an initial assessment, where they will have a review of their starting point and areas for development using our Profiler tool. The apprentice will also attend a launch visit to ensure that everything is in place and that they have a clear understanding of the journey ahead.
On programme
Similar to the team leader apprenticeship, this programme entails 6-week modules, which involve face-to-face online coaching visits with a dedicated Damar coach, group coaching sessions, expert-led workshops and independent learning activities. The modules are outlined below:

End-point assessment
The final stage of the apprenticeship is the end-point assessment, which consists of a portfolio and a presentation followed by a Q&A session.

Yes, apprentices who successfully complete the level 5 operations manager apprenticeship will receive an apprenticeship certificate, which is a nationally recognised qualification.
