Every year we conduct a survey to get feedback from our apprentices.

We’re very pleased that once again our apprentices have overwhelmingly told us that they are having a very positive learning experience, with 93% saying that they would recommend Damar to a friend or colleague.

Some other key results from the 430 respondents were:

  • 95% said that the apprenticeship meets their needs
  • 92% said knowledge and coaching sessions are delivered in a way that helps them build on their existing knowledge
  • 93% said their apprenticeship is preparing them for what they want to do next
  • 98% said Damar has created a safe, disciplined and positive environment for them to learn.

When asked what Damar does well, many apprentices commented on their coach who makes them feel supported, motivated and reassured. Coaches help apprentices understand key concepts, keep track of their progress and identify further areas for improvement.

Apprentices also mentioned the group coaching sessions which they find engaging and informative, and allow apprentices to feel connected to others on the same programme and to learn from these different perspectives.

When asked what it feels like to be an apprentice with Damar, apprentices told us it feels amazing, fulfilling, enriching, challenging, rewarding and empowering.

The survey also included questions about what Damar could improve. This feedback is critical to us as we continuously strive to enhance our programmes and ensure that we are maximising the impact we have on our apprentices and the employers they work for.

The quality cycle never ends, so thank you to all those apprentices who took the time to respond. Our goal, next year, is to get even closer to 100% across every question!
