Amy is a Revenue Control/Finance Apprentice at BDB Pitmans LLP. She recently completed her level 3 business administration training.
How has the apprenticeship impacted on you?
The apprenticeship has taught me so much about business administration in a variety of different areas. I know more about the logistics of a business while also knowing more about communication and I have had the opportunity to strengthen my soft skills.
How will the apprenticeship training continue to impact on you in the future?
The training will continue to aid me in conducting my day-to-day tasks, and in understanding the structure of my organisation and the role itself.
How has the apprenticeship impacted on your organisation?
I have been able to utilise my knowledge and teach the things I have learnt to others on my team. I have also been able to use many of the techniques taught to me on a daily basis, such as the Eisenhower matrix, which has significantly improved my efficiency in times of high pressure and increased workload.
How has Damar’s approach to training contributed to the impact of the apprenticeship on you and your organisation?
The method of learning I have been using within my apprenticeship has left me with an abundance of helpful notes which I can continue to refer back to.
Why did you decide to do an apprenticeship?
I decided to do an apprenticeship so that I could simultaneously work and learn, gaining practical knowledge which I could reinforce with what I was learning in my course.
What activities do you do in your day-to-day role?
I complete different tasks in the revenue control department to assist individuals in other areas of the organisation.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The thing I most enjoy is helping others.
What are your future career plans?
I would like to continue to utilise my apprenticeship in a role where I can continue to assist and communicate with others in a business environment.
