Level 2 Administration Assistant Apprenticeship
The Administration Assistant Apprenticeship programme is designed for individuals aged 16 – 24 who are new to the workplace or beginning their career in administration.
Apprentices will build practical skills in communication, organisation, digital working, teamwork and time management, while developing the confidence to support business operations effectively and progress in their career.
For apprentices working within the NHS, primary care or other healthcare organisations, a specialist medical pathway is available.
Overview of the Administration Assistant Apprenticeship
This apprenticeship is designed for individuals who are new to administration.
- Level: 2
- Length: 10-12 months
- Modules: 8
- EPA organisation: Pearson.
Apprentices develop the ability to:
- Communicate with stakeholders
- Support internal or external events or meetings
- Access and store information securely
- Use software packages
- Provide support to team members
- Identify issues and escalate problems to others.
How the apprenticeship works
Planning
The apprentice will undertake an initial assessment, where they will have a review of their starting point and areas for development using our Profiler tool. The apprentice will also attend a launch visit to ensure that everything is in place and that they have a clear understanding of the journey ahead.
On-programme
The apprenticeship entails eight modules which involve face-to-face online coaching visits with a dedicated Damar coach, group coaching sessions, review visits and independent learning activities.

Apprenticeship assessment
The assessment involves a portfolio and presentation and can take place during the on-programme learning phase (more details will be shared once available).

Administration Assistant Apprenticeship FAQs
For the Administration Assistant Apprenticeship, we offer a medical pathway which is suitable for apprentices working in healthcare environments. As part of the programme, apprentices undertake a Level 1 Mediterm course which introduces them to the basics of medical terminology.
