Job description
Working closely with the Quality Manager, you will co-ordinate and carry out purposeful quality assurance activity across the apprenticeship provision that robustly scrutinises all aspects of education and learning, resulting in high impact quality outcomes that contribute to our overall success and our business objectives.
- Location: Home-based with frequent travel to Manchester office
- Normal hours of work: Full time – as set out in your terms and conditions of employment
- Salary: £32,000 to £34,000 – depending on experience
- Reporting to: Quality Manager.

Key responsibilities
- Co-ordinate and conduct a range of quality assurance activities to measure the quality of our apprenticeship offer against our internal frameworks. Some of these activities could include:
- Observations and shadowing of colleagues
- Sampling all aspects of the student journey
- Collating feedback from colleagues, students, employers, and other key stakeholders
- Collate and analyse outcomes from quality assurance activity, feedback and performance data
- Provide colleagues with clear, accurate and timely reports
- Maintain accurate records of quality activities, action plans and impact evidence
- Implement actions to support sector changes
- Support in monitoring compliance against Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and progress against our quality improvement plan
- Assist with external quality assurance visits and preparations for Ofsted inspections.
Knowledge and qualifications
- IQA qualifications
- Experience of quality assurance in an apprenticeship setting
- Experience of driving continuous improvement cross departmentally
- A good understanding of how internal policies and frameworks can be used to measure quality
- Confident and competent at giving constructive and developmental feedback
- Knowledge of regulations relating to apprenticeship funding, awarding organisations, EPA organisations and Ofsted.

Job description
As a member of Damar’s business development team, you will sell the benefits of apprenticeships to employers and help them plan and manage apprenticeship programmes that meet their organisational needs and develop the skills of their people. You will be happy working autonomously and to agreed targets.
- Location: Home-based with frequent travel to Manchester office (typically one day per week in the office, remote working would be considered for candidates based outside the north west.)
- Normal hours of work: Full time – as set out in your terms and conditions of employment
- Salary: £36,000 – £38,000 (depending on experience), plus a non-contractual bonus
- Reporting to: Divisional Manager – Business Development.

Job description
You are responsible for managing the coaching of a caseload of apprentices, ensuring that they develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to succeed in their roles and complete their apprenticeships as planned.

- Location: Manchester office with our work at home option/Home-based depending on your location.

Key responsibilities
- To understand and agree with employers and apprentices each apprentice’s starting point and skills development needs
- Using Damar’s standard delivery model, to agree a training plan with each apprentice and employer that meets those needs
- To manage the delivery of the training in line with the plan, quality and, in particular:
- To regularly and thoroughly review progress against all aspects of the plan with the apprentice and their manager.
- To take prompt action where the apprentice falls behind.
- To ensure that the apprentice is accessing and benefiting from delivery that you are not personally undertaking (for example, via Damar OpenLearning or expert knowledge tutors).
- To ensure that the apprentice is healthy, safe and supported at work
- To understand the apprentice’s and employer’s ambitions for progression and to work with the Damar account manager to support progression where possible
- To work in accordance with Damar’s systems, in particular our enrolment and e-portfolio systems and Damar OpenLearning
- To maximise efficiency for the benefit of your apprentices, our partner employers and Damar
- To ensure all reporting activity and administration reports are owned, managed and delivered on time.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Access)
- Ability to engage with a wide cross section of people
- Self-motivated and highly organised to manage your own time.
Knowledge and qualifications
- Qualified solicitor with recent experience
- A teaching qualification is an advantage however full training will be given
- A good level at GCSE (or higher) in maths and English
- A strong legal vocational background and a commitment to maintain your vocational competence.
